Gerald Vandrooge, of Milford, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 2, after police responded to Bridgeport Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute, Milford Police said.
An investigation by officers on the scene found that Vandrooge, who is accused of yelling threatening messages at the woman, and that during a physical fight between the two, a knife was involved, police said.
Vandrooge was also allegedly aggressive towards officers while being taken into custody.
He was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, threatening, three counts of risk of injury to a minor, and interfering with an officer.
He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
